District 13 is a member of the United States Power Squadrons, comprising of 11 squadrons located in Southern California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Japan. Our members sail the waters of Lake Mead, the Colorado River, Lake Arrowhead, the Pacific Ocean from and to Long Beach, including the Channel Islands, Pearl Harbor and Tokyo Bay. - in cruisers, sail boats, kayaks, PWCs, motor yachts and canoes.

District 13 was chartered in May 1941 with the flagship squadron being Los Angeles Power Squadron. The District is composed of Fourteen squadrons covering an area that reaches from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains to the Inland Sea of Japan. This area includes the largest body of navigable water in the world, the Pacific Ocean. The district has a membership of approximately 1400 members.

    

If you are a boating enthusiast, or want to be, this is the organization for you. Take a boating course for both new and experienced boaters.
Get a vessel safety check - this free safety check helps ensure fun-filled outings on your boat.

Become a member and participate in educational and social activities, both on-the-water and ashore, throughout the year.

District 13 and its Squadrons are an active participant in the USPS Vessel Safety Check program. Click the logo for more information and to arrange to have your vessel inspected or to set up a group inspection

Membership is by application and open to persons who are at least 18 years old, and are willing to contribute their time and efforts to the U.S.P.S. mission of safe boating through education. All functions within the squadron are performed by the membership on a voluntary basis.
